Week 6: Tagging, Folksonomies & Technorati. Task # 13 Del.icio.us. Well, this is one 2.0thing that I have been using for 5-6 months, although just saving and tagging sites. I'm glad to take some time this week and explore Del.icio.us further. This morning I looked at the "popular" list and was amazed to discover that a zen-simplicity site was hugely popular. This augurs well. Most of the rest were teckythings, as expected. I immediately saved this z/s site and hope I have some time to look at the list of things to do and find some useful new practices to simplify and lower stress in my work-life. I'm also beginning to get intrigued with the whole tagging thing. I would really like to use and see the contrast between strict thesauri we use internally in libraryland and the real world tags our real users use in the real world. 19th v. 21st century? in v. out? specialists v. uneducated? ~C
